The weather here has just been beautiful and so last Friday we decided to head out to Lake Isabella and see if the kids could catch a fish. Our friends Erin and Brandon, who recently moved from Northern KY to only about 15 minutes from us in Ohio, joined us for the fun. Ella and William had no reservations about playing with the grubby little worms but refused to put them on the hook. Ella is quite good at casting (she practices a lot in our yard). It wasn't long before she caught her little fish. She was extremely happy as you can see from the pictures and asked over and over again, "Mom can I keep him?" Will loved casting out into the water but became a little bored with waiting and watching. So instead, he spent time running along the walkway and stepping over he rocks. Unfortunately he took a hard tumble, scrapping up his knees, and wailing at the sight of the blood and feelings of pain. Nash was just putting his arms around Will to console him when Brandon said, "Will, I think you got a fish! Get your line buddy, I think you've caught a fish!" My first thought was...good try Brandon, but as soon as he reels it in and doesn't see a fish, he'll realize you've tricked him and he'll still be just as sad and in pain. But, Will grabbed his pole, tears still streaming down his face, and reeled in.....his very own little fish! Thank You Lord! He was so happy!

Uncle Mike is so proud of your fishing expertise.. In fact he is fishing right now.. Hope he is as good as Miss Ella... I agree with William & find it most boring.. Love You All!! Aunt Mindy
